• Camera Images: When you use the "Take Photo" feature, the app accesses your device camera to capture images
• Gallery Images: When you use the "Choose from Gallery" feature, the app accesses your photo library to select existing images
• Cropped Images: The app temporarily stores cropped versions of selected images for text recognition processing

Extracted Text

• The app processes images to extract text using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology
• Extracted text is displayed within the app and may be copied to your clipboard or exported to PDF files

How We Use Your Information

Your images and extracted text are used solely for the following purposes:

1. Text Recognition: Processing images to extract readable text
2. PDF Generation: Creating PDF documents containing extracted text when you use the export feature
3. Clipboard Operations: Copying text to your device clipboard when you use the copy feature

Data Retention

• Images are processed in memory and are not permanently stored by the app
• Exported PDF files are saved to your device's storage at your discretion
• You maintain full control over all exported files and can delete them at any time

Third-Party Services

Google ML Kit for Text Recognition

The app uses Google ML Kit's Text Recognition API for OCR functionality. Please note:

• On-Device Processing: By default, Google ML Kit performs text recognition on your device
• No Personal Data Collection: ML Kit does not collect personally identifiable information
• Google's Privacy Policy: ML Kit's processing is subject to Google's Privacy Policy
• Data Usage: Images are processed locally; however, Google may collect anonymous usage statistics

Permissions

The app requests the following permissions:

Android Permissions

• Camera: To capture photos for text recognition
• Read External Storage: To access existing images from your gallery
• Write External Storage: To save exported PDF files
• Read Media Images: To access photos on Android 13+

iOS Permissions

• Camera: To capture photos for text recognition
• Photo Library: To access existing images from your gallery
• Photo Library Add: To save cropped images temporarily

Note: All permissions are requested only when needed and you can revoke them at any time through your device settings.

Data Sharing

We do NOT:

• Share your images with any third parties
• Share extracted text with any third parties
• Sell your data to advertisers or other entities
• Upload your content to cloud servers
• Track your usage patterns
• Collect personal information such as name, email, or phone number

Data Security

• All processing is done locally on your device
• No data transmission to external servers (except for ML Kit's on-device processing)
• No user accounts or authentication required
